However, during the 25+ years that The Society has been going the extensive information that has been collected has been stored in a variety of physical and electronic formats. It will therefore take a considerable amount of time to convert, and in some cases re-transcribe, this information so we can make it available here. |

Updates: Wanted: Volunteer/s to transcribe IGI Metcalfe entries from text files so that they can be entered into our master database. Requirements: Microsoft Excel (or other spreadsheet programme capable of exporting CSV files) / Time! If you are interested please contact Carol Herbert at webadmin@metcalfe.org.uk. 2 November 2009 - The Marriage Records have been updated to now include Marriage Date, Age and Father, where known. The database includes births from UK, Ireland, India and a few miscellaneous entries. 1 November 2009 - The Death/Burial Records have been updated to now include Maiden Name, Mother's name, Father's name, Spouse, Date of Birth, Date of Burial and Cause of Death, where known. The database includes births from UK, Ireland, India and a few miscellaneous entries. 30 October 2009 - The Birth Records have been updated to now include Father's forenames and baptism dates, where known. The database includes births from UK, Ireland, India and a few miscellaneous entries. August 2009 - All records from the Computer Index have now been converted. Log in above and go to the Main Menu to access. |
